The year 2020 has been a difficult year for all involved in grassroots football but it will also be the year that Neston Nomads bade farewell to its out going Chairman Bruce Munnerley.
Bruce decided to call it a day after 50 years of being involved in grassroots football and what a mark he has made.
Bruce, the founder of the club in 1983, has played many a role along the years from coach, manager, secretary and eventually Chairman where he has reigned ever since. He has been instrumental in building the club from one team to now where it boasts 29 junior teams and 5 adult teams, two of which play in the West Cheshire platform. The club is now a chartered standard community club.
It is fair to say that Bruce has made a legacy at the club and he hands it over in a superb place having been a pioneer in the negotiations for the brand new facilities at Neston High School that will ensure this club goes from strength to strength.
The club would like to thank Bruce for all his efforts over the years, he is an icon in the local community and someone who will always be remembered for his passion, dedication and commitment to grassroots football in Neston.
It is great to see that Bruce will continue as a trustee director as it holds a Charitable Status and no doubt we will see him and hear him on the touchlines as the season progresses.
Well played Bruce and Thank you. !!!
The club now moves forward with Mike Moss as its chairman having been voted in at the recent AGM.
